This year has been an amazing year and somewhat extremely hectic
but we ended up with a massive amount for Lifeline Gippsland.
We started the year off with our "Elvis Forever' concert featuring Damian Mullins.
The support for business's not only local, but from afar was absolutley amazing.
With the night being booked out...we were able to raise $14080 which was a brilliant
start to 2024.
During the year, all 3 clubs, L.V Country Line Dancers, Rebel Bootscooters and
Ramblin' Rose use their socials and classes to continue to raise money.
L.V Country Line Dancers, in September held a M@D Camp at the Wooten Lodge,
Coongulla, which the venue was kindly donated by the Yarra Valley College.
We kicked off the event with Mark Bruerton DJ'ing a silent Disco...Hillarious.
and then during the following days we had a variety of dance groups come out and
demo and teach their style of dancing, which was so nice to see us all coming
together. Maffra Ukestra Group taught (tried) to teach how to play
the Ukeley and also performed for us. Terry Norwood taughts us the finer
points of Wine and lets us sample the wonderful wines from Narkoojee Winery.
That was just a taste:) of so many activities during our 4 days out there and
the laughter and fun and dare I say...Heather's wonderful cooking,
made our stay out there one not to forget:)
Our Big-2 Day Event at the end of September saw another wonderful weekend
of dancing, laughter and friendships. Our traditional Blue and Yellow was our
theme with a Hawaii Theme in the foyer for our crazy photos.
Each day saw 77 come through the door and by the end of our weekend we
had reached our final tally for the year.
You could say that this year....We smashed it out of the park.
